Oikonos is collaborating with Sealife Conservation to give students research experience aboard their eco-friendly sailboat.

Description

A goal of Oikonos-Ecosystem Knowledge is to form collaborations with education experts and develop innovative programs that disseminate project specific results of our research to a broad diverse community.

Ocean Stewardship priorities:

1) To instill awareness and interest in the importance of science in advancing ecological knowledge and in using this knowledge to protect our natural resources through our own actions and decisions

2) To share results of Oikonos research through creative and innovative outreach education

3) To support and inspire young people to study ecology - through science, art, or other disciplines

4) To inform personal choices that can affect the health of the ocean and connected ecosystems
